Denver tech salaries rose on average 9%, 2x as much as the national average 

Before the pandemic, tech salaries rose in every major market with a US market average of $146,000, and a global average of $130,000. As experts continue to monitor the economic disruption from the pandemic, salaries for 2021 effectively reflect those of 2020 and 2019, with slight changes. Denver ranked only behind Austin and Toronto for tech salary growth last year, and is still growing and becoming a mainstay for satellite office locations.

Moving forward, it’s no surprise that hiring remote talent has spiked. However, for leadership roles and key positions, we find most employees still seek proximity to their home state or to live in a commutable distance to their teams and headquarters.
